WAY OF PEACE
Luke 1:78-79
Through the tender mercy of our God with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Jesus came to earth to show us how to obtain God’s way of peace. Sometimes there are struggles along the way. Jesus wept. Jesus was human and He cried. Jesus talked about dying on the cross as God’s perfect sacrificial Lamb. Jesus wanted to avoid this painful agony of His blood filling God’s cup of wrath.
Luke 22:42
Jesus saying, “Father, if Thou be willing, remove this cup from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Thine be done.”
Jesus died on the cross. Three days later God raised Jesus to eternal life. Jesus was blunt with His disciples as they returned to their past lives as fishermen. He told them to live with God’s blessings on their lives as they spread the message of eternal life. He talked about receiving Holy Spirit power that was God’s game changer.
Jesus disciples lived in peace knowing they were living the way of peace as they started the world’s largest religion. Romans killed Christians as they needed someone to blame. The disciples died as martyrs but they died in peace because they would see Jesus in heaven.
Satan suggests the easy path of lying, stealing and destroying. Liar Satan says a little bit of bad does huge good. Jesus came to ensure God’s peace, favor and success throughout our lives. God says work, be good and tell the truth.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Words are important. It’s so easy to criticize, condemn and complain. God says COUNT IT ALL JOY. God says REJOICE.
Ephesians 4:29
Watch your talk! No bad words should be coming from your mouth. Say what is good. Your words should help others grow as Christians.
God is with His children. He wants you to be strong and courageous.
Joshua 1:9
This is My command be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
